Local filmmaker finds 'Digital Dharma'

Tibet, north and east of the Himalayan Mountains is the highest region on earth. The county, its history, and its culture is the focus of the documentary, Digital Dharma: One Man's Mission to Save a Culture.
The film captures the life and journey of E. Gene Smith, an unlikely hero who worked to rescue and preserve thousands of ancient Tibetan texts.
